Street Kart UK – Japanese Street Kart Experience for British Visitors

Dear residents of the United Kingdom and all those planning a trip to
Japan! We present you with a special Street Kart adventure that you can
experience in Japan. Tokyo’s cutting-edge cities, Osaka’s vibrant
shopping districts, and many other diverse attractions of Japan,
explored through Street Kart, will transform your Japan trip into
unforgettable memories. This is a special opportunity to discover
Japan’s unique fusion of tradition and innovation from a new
perspective, quite different from London’s historic streetscapes.

Important: This Street Kart experience is a service limited
to Japan only. We do not operate Street Kart services in the United
Kingdom. Please enjoy this as a special experience during your visit to
Japan.

From Britain, the land of gentlemen, to Japan, the land of omotenashi
(hospitality). When both countries’ cultures that value courtesy and
their spirits that cherish tradition meet, new discoveries and emotions
are born. Why not explore the beauty of five-storey pagodas so different
from Big Ben, and modern Japan where anime culture thrives, through the
new method of Street Kart?

Japanese Street
Kart – British Humour Welcome

Japanese Street Kart is a pop culture-packed urban tourism experience
completely different from Britain’s classic car tours. With small karts
that can travel on public roads, you can explore Japan’s streets whilst
feeling the city directly on your skin. Particularly, the ability to
drive whilst wearing Japanese anime character cosplay is a special
experience unique to Japan in the world.

With the British people’s reserved yet humour-loving national
character, you’ll surely enjoy this slightly quirky tourism style. Why
not race through Japan’s streets with a “Keep Calm and Kart On”
spirit?

Safety is our top priority, just as it is in Britain. All vehicles
pass rigorous MOT-equivalent inspections and are accompanied by
experienced guides. Of course, being left-hand drive, British visitors
should find it quite familiar.

Journey from Britain to
Japan

Direct flights are available from Heathrow and Gatwick airports to
Japan. British Airways, JAL, and ANA operate direct flights to Tokyo
(Narita and Haneda), with flight times of approximately 11-12 hours.

British passport holders do not need a visa for entry to Japan for
tourism purposes within 90 days. Immigration procedures are efficient,
and tourists from Britain are warmly welcomed.

The time difference is 9 hours ahead for Japan (8 hours during
British Summer Time). Prepare well for jet lag to be ready for your
Japanese adventure.

Tokyo – Fusion of
Tradition and Innovation

Tokyo is a massive city with approximately 1.5 times London’s
population. However, like London, you can see the coexistence of
historic buildings and modern architecture. The Imperial Palace plays a
role similar to Buckingham Palace, but with a more open atmosphere.

Ginza is a luxury shopping district like Oxford Street, but more
orderly. The way long-established department stores and cutting-edge
brand shops coexist is similar to Britain’s balance of tradition and
innovation.

Akihabara is a unique area like Camden Market, but specialised in
electronics and anime culture. You can experience Japan’s unique otaku
culture, different from British geek culture.

Osaka – City of Merchants

Osaka has a history as an industrial city like Manchester or
Birmingham, but is more specialised in commerce. The frank attitude
towards “business” contrasts with Britain’s reserved commercial
customs.

Osaka’s comedy culture differs from British stand-up comedy, but
shares the common value of cherishing laughter. The culture of “boke and
tsukkomi” (straight man and funny man) offers different enjoyment from
British ironic humour.

Even British people who love fish and chips will find Osaka’s
“konamon” (flour-based food) culture familiar. Takoyaki and okonomiyaki
are common folk tastes different from pub food.

Japan’s Four
Seasons and Differences from Britain

Spring cherry blossoms are more spectacular than Britain’s spring
flowers. While Hyde Park’s cherry blossoms are beautiful, the scale and
cultural importance of Japan’s sakura are exceptional.

Summer is more humid and hot than Britain, but air conditioning is
comprehensive. Whilst outdoor drinking like pub gardens is less common,
there are beer gardens and rooftop bars.

Autumn foliage is more vivid than British autumn. Cambridge’s autumn
is beautiful, but Kyoto’s autumn colours are extraordinary.

Winter is not as long as in Britain, but offers the special pleasure
of onsen (hot springs). You can experience Japan’s unique bathing
culture, different from Bath’s hot springs.

Services for British
Visitors

English support is naturally perfect, with staff who understand
British English nuances. We avoid excessive service and maintain the
appropriate distance that British people prefer.

For tea-loving British people, we also introduce ways to enjoy
Japanese green tea and matcha. We provide information about hotels where
you can have afternoon tea.

For cricket and rugby fans, we also provide information about
watching Japanese sports culture (sumo, baseball).

Culinary Information

Japanese pub culture (izakaya) differs from British pubs but
functions similarly as a social venue. Japanese beer is lighter but
comes in abundant varieties.

For British people who love roast beef, wagyu steak is recommended.
Whilst cooking methods differ, the meat quality is world-class.

Breakfast culture is vastly different. Whilst there’s no Full English
Breakfast, a Japanese set meal will be a new breakfast experience.

Japanese curry has evolved uniquely, different from both Indian curry
and British curry.

Booking and Pricing

The online booking system is as easy as British online shopping.
Pricing display in British pounds is also possible.

For detailed pricing, please check the official website. You can
enjoy this at similar price ranges to London tourist attractions.

The cancellation policy follows principles similar to British
consumer protection law, being fair and transparent.

Safety and Practical
Information

Japan is an extremely safe country like Britain. It might actually be
safer than London.

An international driving licence is required. British driving licence
holders can easily obtain one at the Post Office. Being left-hand
traffic, you can drive without feeling uncomfortable.

The NHS cannot be used, so travel insurance is essential. EHIC cards
are also invalid in Japan.

Other Japanese Experiences

For British railway enthusiasts, the Shinkansen experience is
essential. The punctuality is incomparable to British railways.

For gardening enthusiasts, touring Japanese gardens is recommended.
You can enjoy aesthetics completely opposite to English gardens.

For Harry Potter fans, the Wizarding World at USJ is also
popular.

For British Royal Family fans, Imperial Palace tours are also
recommended.

Summary

The Street Kart experience in Japan offers British visitors new
cultural discoveries and slightly crazy adventures. When both countries’
spirits that value tradition and hearts that love humour meet,
unforgettable memories are born.

For your next holiday, why not enjoy a new Street Kart adventure in
Japan, just an 11-hour flight away? We sincerely look forward to
welcoming all British visitors.

Welcome to Japan! Cheers! ようこそ日本へ!
